The opera will be preceded by an interactive prologue, which will introduce young viewers to questions about the Hermitage cats. And in the course of the plot, they will also get acquainted with the halls of the Hermitage.
The prologue takes place in the auditorium 15 minutes before the start. Intermedia is not the beginning of the presentation.
This is the second performance from the series “Opera in Pictures”. The first was the children's opera play “Bastien and Bastienne” by V. A. Mozart, which has been successfully performing on the stage of the Hermitage Theater for a year already.
The story tells about a homeless kitten, who is hired by the palace guard - the keeper of the Hermitage collection of ancient art. But on the very first night the most valuable exhibit disappears. Who stole it? Are the eternal rivals of the Hermitage cats - basement rats? Kitten waiting for a difficult journey, at the end of which will have to choose - friendship or duty? Justice or a given word? Classic art or modern?
The performance is accompanied by a chamber orchestra, and projection scenery and animation will help young viewers to plunge into the world of fairy-tale opera.
