Moscow musical and dramatic "Theater of Teresa Durova" presents the musical and poetic performance "More elegant without galoshes" directed by Teresa Durova.
A fascinating journey in jazz style through the world of fashion and sensual poetry of Vladimir Mayakovsky.
His life is a tangle of contradictions: the main poet of the revolution was a hereditary nobleman, an exquisite fashionista and a hopeless romantic. Singing the praises of Soviet clothing, he sewed custom-made shirts in Paris; proclaiming revolutionary manifestos, he wrote the most tender love poems; anticipating the emergence of social networks, he put his personal life on display. Believing that it is more elegant without galoshes, he was forced by fate and the revolution to put on galoshes...
Futuristic passions and fashion shows to the rhythms of little-known poems by Vladimir Mayakovsky will burst into the workshop of a mysterious tailor, where a costume-fate of the greatest poet will be sewn on a living thread.
