Beethoven's Great Symphonies at the Hermitage Theater

On May 2, the majestic hall of the Hermitage Theater will open its doors so that you can enjoy selected masterpieces of the classical symphonic heritage. The Fifth Symphony, which amazes with its laconic presentation, compactness of forms, striving for development, seems to be born in a single creative impulse. Subsequently, the Fifth Symphony became the most popular in the composer's legacy. The seventh symphony, relatively small, seems transparent, clear and light. The composer himself appreciated it very highly: “Among my best compositions, I can proudly point to the symphony in A major.”

Two magnificent symphonies of the legendary Ludwig van Beethoven for you this evening will be played by the Concert Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. Conductor - Honored Artist of Russia Alexey Vasiliev.
