Anna Pavlova is one of the greatest artists of the 20th century. The history of ballet cannot be imagined without the legacy of this legendary dancer. Her name is known both in Russia and abroad. "Fluffy, lightness, wind" - this is how the famous choreographer Marius Petipa spoke of Pavlova. Indeed, light, graceful, graceful, she became a symbol of Russian ballet, conquering the whole world.

Paying tribute to the great ballerina's merits, emphasizing her contribution to the development of ballet, in the year of the 140th anniversary of her birth, the St. Petersburg Russian Ballet Theater with a 30-year history acquires a new name - the Anna Pavlova Russian Ballet Theater.

At the Ballet Evening, viewers will be able to see ballet numbers performed by the famous dancer. Preparing for the upcoming concert, leading directors and choreographers worked on them, scrupulously restoring them in the form in which they were presented to the public at the beginning of the 20th century.

The program includes fragments of ballet classics and performances of the Silver Age: The Nutcracker, The Corsair, The Firebird, Scheherazade, Talisman, Chopiniana, Harlequinade and others. Of course, it will not do without the famous "Dying Swan" - a number that was staged especially for Anna Pavlova and still delights the audience.
